COLLEGE STUDENT

PERSONNEL

The mission of the College Student Personnel (CSP) program is to prepare graduate students for work serving others in higher education or related services. The program provides students with an education grounded in research, theory, and practical experience. The CSP program follows a cohort model to promote an inclusive community, to facilitate peer to peer learning, and to provide opportunities for professional socialization.

Our History

The CSP program is more than seventy years old, with our first student graduating in 1947. Since then, more than 700 students have graduated from the program.

“The CSP program has helped me develop my identity as a student affairs professional and has challenged me to grow academically, professionally, and personally. It’s thanks to the intentionality of my professors and the support of my cohort that I charge into my career full of confidence and pride in the work I do!”

– Michelle Muray, Cohort 2022

“Upon coming to the CSP program I knew I was going to get a good education that would help me be a student affairs professional. What I didn’t know what how strong of a connection I was going to make with the faculty and staff here that would help me with my career goals. Throughout my time in the program, I have been able to have a unique experience that has prepared me to move on to the next step.”
